Hey!! comments

Well, as I´ve said before in one of our forums, SA is hamstrung telecomunications-wise because of the political clout of Telkom. I have sold a lot of equipment to them, mostly while I was in Europe, and can´t complain from that end. But,for example, they have singlehandedly brought to a halt most of the wireless startups in the country because of the legislation they were able to get passed stopping 2.4GHz equipment from crossing public accessways.
Another example is the rates that US internet phone companies have to charge for calls to SA because of the regulations in place, backed by Telkom. I pay 4c per minute to most places; to SA it´s 30c per minute.
It´s going to take quite a lobby to get anything past their profitcentric goals.
