PSD to XHTML/CSS Website Design
Hi all,
I've been working on the design of our PSD to XHTML/CSS site. I really like the color scheme that we're using, and the general look and feel.
What do you think of the site? - www.CodeSublime.com
Any comments, suggestions, ideas and feedback are much appreciated!

This would be great a brochure/flyer, but needs more whitespace as the front page of a website. Not sure how it would look but try and put a think white line (top and bottom) between the black and blue.
Your title of the webpage needs to stand out more and look more alive too.
Good luck,
Charlie Ryan

Your site validates, css and html, very few of thoe 'proffessional' design sites do
so blow your horn a bit, goto the W3C validator and tag your site with the 'Valid ***' icons, it goes well with being able to guarantee that the code you produce for them is also valid
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/
http://validator.w3.org/
A lot of referralls end up on somebodies blackberry, CEO showoff types
the fullscreen site does not work well on handheld
http://demo.opera-mini.net/demo.html...odesublime.com is an aide to developing on handheld
you might want to consider pulling one of the mobile-redirect scripts from the php forum, and creating a mobile page with the same info and simpler iconized images
http://www.browsershots.org just to make sure the site works in browser/OS combinations you don't have direct access to
:: it works in the 6 I use to test IE6 IE8 FF Opera9 Moz Lynx

Thanks Charlie Ryan and almostbob!
@Charlie Ryan - The general feedback that I've gotten from most forums has been 'Good Code, Needs a better design'. I decided to have the site professionally designed, so we'll have both Professional Code, and a Professional-Quality website. I'll repost on Daniweb once the re-design is complete. Thanks for your input!
@almostbob - Thanks. I really appreciate it when someone actually takes time to give great advice.
We really stand by our Professional level code, and now, I think it will be great that we can accompany that with a Professional website.
I entirely agree that we should develop a mobile site as well. At the moment, though, our main goal is to start getting a good customer base.
Once our site re-design is complete, I'll post again on Daniweb. Please take a look and let me know what you think.
Thanks so much!
