problem with task manager

problem with task manager

when I open windows task manager on windows xp, I am not able to view cpu memory usage and also other buttons on task manager on the top are missing.Also close window button is missing on task manager. please help

should be just a simple double click of the mouse on the large blank area along the bottom next to end task button .

Either that, or on the top above where the tabs should be.
