Do you have a proxy in place? Are you able to access any site with another browser like IE or Netscape?

1. - If you think you have a virus post it in the Virus section - http://www.daniweb.com/forums/forum64.html
2. - Is this your own network? There seems to be open DNS.
3. - Your probably have a virus, so post in the forum section (link posted above)

Good Luck.

Hi,
I regularly have the same problem with Firefox and IE8 using AVG internet security. I have tried by disabling everything one at a time but to no avail, so my solution is and it always works for me is just to reboot and my PC works well for days on end then will happen again. I have learned to live with it as it only happens now and again it is too hard to look for the problem.

Hi guys,

HOWEVER, if I exit out of Trend Micro, then I can surf the net no problems. I can ping no probs as well as previous post.
What does that tell you? I would try another AV. A lot of great free ones out there.

@ Bob_180_Bob,
I regularly have the same problem
Have you tried another AV as well?

I have read that those AV's do cause problems, especially "Security Suites" as I'm sure you're aware of.

I personally use "Avast Home Free Edition" and have for a few years and can't recall ever having a "Connection was Reset"

Hi,
Mine is not the free AVG, it the top of the line, all in one, and I have run two online checks, Trend and Nortons, I have malwearebytes running and have had the problem from a clean install. I think it is a minor problem between my PC and my ISP not a virus or problem here.
