The Sims for mac! PLEASE HELP!!!

I just got my sims for mac and everything was going okay but a black screen came up and i had to shake it to make it go away. Then when I quit I saved and everything and my whole screen turned back and now there is no way to get out of it!

Take it out of the power supply and return it back in. Then start it agian.
If you need to shoot, shoot don't talk -Eli Wallac when acting as Tuco in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
