I want to develop my own Language and Compiler

I want to develop a compiler which combines many of the concepts of OOPS as well as a structured language....
Is it worth using C for the development or should I use any other language.....
and ofcourse I want to make it platform independent......
Is it possible in C


I need ur precious suggestions...........

well i don't really have much knowledge in language development but if you want it like middle language you can use asm after all c is asm based

Start here to learn how to write a compiler. If you can not do that simple task then writing a compiler is not for you.
