MAXTOR - USB mass storage device ~ VISTA Ultimate:
* Device Cannot Start (CODE 10)
* Device Manager has a yellow triangle
* Cannot see on "Explore"
* Used "fix It" - Microsoft Automated troubleshooting Services to diagnose. Applied recommended automatic repairs. (Hardware devices not detected or not working)
* Device showed as "repaired" but lasted only minutes, appeared again same problem.
* Also done: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060. As suggested by one member of the DaniWeb Community.

Would you mind being a little bit more explicit about which service please, and also what you mean by local group policies - I can't find this in my Vista Home Premium system. Thank you
