Hi,

I have to develop a software and it should run on windows, mac and linux, so i was thinking of developing it in java using netbeans

I have windows OS,
would the jar file generated in windows run properly on mac and linux? and is there any specific notes and requirements that should be considered

thanks in advance !

It *should*. Although I have personally occasionally had slight GUI issues when trying to run the same jar on Mac & Windows. But yes, the idea is that it will do so. If I were you, I'd test it on multiple platforms to be sure.
