RAM beeping - system not starting

Today when I start the system, I found it has not started but it continuous beeping.
so what can be problem?

I am keen to troublshoot this kind of computer errors. for that I surf many site on the net for the ebook and video tutorials. I get one site which offer Online Computer Course just in 8 weeks. the also offer 4 DVDs other materials and video tutorials with lifetime supports.

All systems are different. Dell beep codes will be different to Compaq etc.

Remove your RAM from the slot.Rub the surface, which you insert in the slot, with a eraser.Reinsert it back into the slot.This worked for me when i tried.You too give a try!!!!

if its beeping with the functioning of the hardware ( fans running and all but no screen ) then you need to replace the ram ..somehow or another its been shoted out
