Intel Vs. AMD

Everyone tells me that AMD is better while others tell me Intel is better. Yet no-one can compare 2 cpu between intel & amd that are available 2day, handle graphical rendering and video editing and will be ready when the move to 64bit is here.

In my opinion, I dont think it's fair to compare Intel and AMD without specifying what purpose it would be used for. Like I said in your other thread, they both have their flaws.

Here's a rather good review of the newly released Pentium 4 3.8Ghz chip, the lowest rated dual-core Pentium chip, and comparisons with AMD chips.

You'll notice that in single core applications, the 3.8GHz Pentium is still outperformed by the Athlon64 3500+ But there's a lot of informtion in the article and it's worth a read.
