msn messenger and IE error

when ever i start up msn messenger 7.0 it always crashes then asks if i wanna send an error report. below is the error signature.

AppName: msnmsgr.exe AppVer: 7.0.813.0 ModName: mshtml.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2900.2627 Offset: 00068ad2

when ever i try and sign into my hotmail account via IE, it always crashes just as im signing in.

when i try to get into "user accounts" it always crashes as well.

just cause the folder is called "temp" dosent mean its a temp folder. what am i doing wrong by asking for help?
