Starting a small computer business

Expand Post »
Well hello everyone! I am new to this Daniweb, but I thought I try to get some good advise here. I went to college and got my computer science and network technology degrees a few years ago. I have done contract jobs only since then. I would like to start my own PC service business. What are some good web sites to get diagnostic software and hardware tools? Any ideas for a good start? Thanks if anyone can help.

Re: Starting a small computer business

Sourceforge.net is a great place to find good open source tools, but you need to be looking for something specific because the site holds every kind of software.

If you're doing contract work now I'd suggest running the business on the side until it's profitable enough to take the "plunge" get a good blackberry and work on courting businesses to build your client base.
