My computer has been infected with some CWS spyware and I have tried a lot of spyware removal programs and read through many posts on the web for removing the spyware. Somehow my Hijack This log seems to be different than others. I really need help from you guys. Thanks a lot!!!
===============================================
The sympton:
IE home page locks to "about:blank". After launched, it will redirect to one of the following 3 addresses:
http://www.specialgoods.info/ad/ad0455/pharmacy.html
http://www.specialgoods.info/ad/ad0455/index.html
http://www.specialgoods.info/ad/ad0455/adult/index.html
================================================
My hijackthis log seems to be shorter than others, maybe it's because the registry got corrupted? And I don't have the usual "
C:\WINDOWS\System32\param32.dll" file as many others do.
One more thing, when I run reglite the value of the following key is blank even after I double-click on it. So it is not the usual about:blank virus
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\\AppInit_DLLs
