i'm going to be taking some computer programming classess, and buying a new computer soon, so i was wondering what would be a good choice for that, i plan on getting a programming specialist certificate and taking classes like c++, visual basic.net, javascript, perl, yea and so i need to buy a better computer, and i was wondering would it be bad to buy an apple?

thanks.

Hi everyone,

Get the pc installed with windows as you are studying and it would be easier for you to use their .net products

Microsoft uses "One World, One Web, One Program" as a slogan.
Doesn’t that sound like "Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer" to you, too?

Tell me what type of software do you like and what would you pay for it

It wouldn't be BAD to buy an Apple, but it's not the dominant platform out there. (though OS X does come prepackaged with Perl). You'd probably be better off sticking with the PC platform, learning a bunch of skills, and later on apply those skills to Apples.
