VMWare problem

ok i have VMware 4.5.2 build 8848, and i wanted to setup linux, but it didnt work.. To test it out i then tried xp first and that didne work neither. They noth give me this error, "
"Unable to open kernel device "\\.\vmx86": The system cannot find the file specified. Did you reboot after installing VMware Workstation?
Failed to initialize monitor device."
