My Anti-virus keeps finding a couple of problems, so does Spybot and Ad-Aware occasionally. Hopefully it's not too bad but I'd appreciate any help.

I see a couple of things in your log that don't look quite right, but nothing explicitly malicious. Can you give us specifics as to exactly what your a-v program, SpyBot, and Ad Aware find and the locations (folders) in which they find problems?

Hi,

Spybot has found Media Motors previously, I've removed from registry (sorry, can't remember exact location) but it found again once or twice after that. Could still be lurking somewhere!

Spybot has just found the following, 2 fixed, 1 not fixed, haven't restarted yet though.

Go to each of these highlighted files and right-click on it; go to properties and give us whatever info you can on them (Company, version, etc.) in your next post:

Go to Start, Run, type regedit in the box, and hit Enter.

At the top of the Registry Editor window, click on File, and then Export. In the Export range panel (at the bottom), click All, give the file a name, and then Save your registry as a backup to a location where you will be able to locate it easily if necessary.

Then click on Edit, Find; in the box, type or paste SideFind, and then click on Find Next

Right-click on any entries found and click on Delete.

Continue using the Find Next option until you get the Finished searching through registry message.

Close the Registry Editor.

Ok, only found rundll32.exe, company is Microsoft, File version is 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158). Size 32.5K.

Done the registry stuff, only one instance to delete, other than entries in Spyware Guard list etc.

The version of rundll32 that you've found appears legit, and there's nothing amiss in your HJT log.

Are you getting any further indications of lingering problems, or do things seem to be working correctly now?

Hi,

Everything does seem to be working ok now, just updated and ran Spybot and Ad-Aware and they came up clean too.
