XP and Scanmaker E3 - keeps finding it!
Thread Solved |
I have an old scanmaker e3 scanner (parallel port through some sort of SCSI interface). I seem to facing a strange problem - every time the machine boots up, it finds the scanner over and over again (usually up to 6 times). I want it find it once and be done with it. Note that this happens on 3 computers with the same scanner so I don't think it's a computer specific problem...I tried disabling plug and play (through admin/services) but that just made other things on the computer not function correctly. Any idea what to do?
I solved it!
I started with this:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;311907
But instead of the:
SetLunInCdb
I did:
OneLun
(I actually guessed this as there were a few entries in the registry 'above' mine that had this and took a leap of faith).
