I recently reformated and reinstalled windows xp successfully and hooked up to the internet but i am having very imediate problems. Internet explorer managed to uninstal intself after i installed firefox and I am unable to re-install it. When i attemp to i get this message "The Procedure entry point SHRegGetValueW could not be located in the dynamic link library SHLWAPI.dll" and somthing along these lines happens with every program i attempt to install, including routine windows updates. Anyone know whats up or is my computer just a massive paperweight?

i have formatted and reloaded 100's of computers ,and install firefox on almost all of them ,and have never seen IE uninstall itself ,is it possible that its still there but not the default browser,not paper weight , if all else fails reinstall windows
