All of the information in this thread might seem complicated, but it really isn't. Installing and running the removal utilities mentioned here is really pretty straightforward.

Unfortunately, some of the malicious programs dig themselves very deeply into your system, and sometimes the only way to fully eradicate them is to go in with a pair of surgical tweezers. In other words, sometimes there is no easy, "point-and-click" fix.

This is no one's fault; the people who write these malware programs are just constantly designing the programs to be more and more difficult to remove, and the people who write the removal utilities are constantly trying to play "catch up".

Unless you remove the bridge.dll reference in your registry, you'll continue to get the error message when you start your computer; if the bridge.dll file really doesn't exist on your system, there's no problem other than that.

Its a fragment of a spyware program.
Simple solution. Download http://www.regnow.com/softsell/visit...te&vendor=4543
Click on find and replace, and enter "bridge.dll"
Wherever bridge.dll comes up, delete the entry, and replace with nothing.
Now that you fixed this problem, you can safely fix others.

And oh yeah, tell all your friends!

Imagin and all we asked in the thread over and over was for people with this problem to create a new thread of ther own, so we could keep track of who we are helping ,thanks .now post your log in a new thread of your own !!

Also put hijack in a folder of its own ,like c:\HJT\hijackthis.exe , not just sitting on the desktop

If you started your own thread you would know who the answer is for.

Unzip HJT into it's own permanent folder before doing anything in order for it to create backups. (Not a temporary folder & not on the desktop). Close all (browser) windows & have HJT fix these entries by placing a check in the appropriate box=
