Dear friends,
can anyone give me help in details of settings to transfer huge gb file from my laptop to my desktop using cross cable through lan. please give me detail settings for both computers in details, I will be very much thankfull to you all

There are lots of posts to get you through installing a nic, getting the right cable, and setting ip's and gateways on the two boxes

Once you can ping between the two pc's take a peak at this old thread for some insights on how to sync up your data.
