I am a fashion blogger. Since my blogs are about products, it's sort of a business. I make some money, but only some. I'm moving away from webdesign, and I keep messing up my site when I change things. I have a lot of visitors, and things just happen accidentally, and I hate that people see things messed up. I hate that I have to check IE (I use Firefox) after every blog post, but I have to anyway. Well, I should, the last one was really messed up (table issues, I don't usually post with tables, but I use some html.)
I made a test blog to put layout changes on, but I didn't add a "page" (Word Press extra content page), and I didn't have archives or really anything to test other pages on. And I thought everything was fine, until wham. Turns out I made a mistake, even with my test blog.
I'm not the greatest or most professional (as in having good practices down like habit) at this.
So, I want to hire a web designer. It would be part-time. I'd ask for anyone who has some knowledge, skills, but doesn't require a high $$/hour. Therefore, I'd probably not want someone with a bachelor's degree in this. I used to charge $10/hr, myself, if that gives you an idea.
I have new blogs coming up in my network, and a lot of work ahead, some of that can go to someone I hire.
The main blog is at http://kissmestace.com
Here's a challenge: if you can figure out why my June archive is messed up (weird, just June?), then I'd probably fall over and want to hire you. :-)
By the way, I am a graphic designer. I can't mess that up. And I use stock images, too, so I don't actually NEED that quality in the webmaster.
Here's some more information, I'm supposed to be featured in the New York Times, so maybe soon my budget will go higher. For now, though, you might just have some kindness in your heart and take on a lower budget client.
