I have a software firewall and I want to run a router firewall alongside it. Because I'm on dial-up I've been told that's no longer possible, that those kind of router/firewalls are no longer available. But recently I was talking to someone who said he thinks it still may be possible. Does anyone know if these are being made?
It's okay, I have located such an item. For anyone else who is interested in running a firewall router with their dial-up rig, US Robotics has one called the USR8000A and you can read about it here: http://www.usr.com/support/product-t...asp?prod=8000a
It is a broadband router, able to be configured for dial-up and DSL also. Reasonably priced at around 70 bucks, US.
