When I receive an email which has a link, I click on it, then a Microsoft Internet Explore window will come up but it won't load, the page just stays blank.

Could someone please help me fix it, it gets very aggrevating copying shortcut and then placing into the address bar of IE6.

By the way using XP if this helps any..

Any information would be appreciated.

Hi,

I'm sorry i wont be much help here but I have seen this problem a few times on different PC's & never been able to solve it. (win xp & 9X)
I have figured out that if you click "stop" in the opening ie window & then "refresh" it will load the page.
I think you will find that you also have the problem if you click a link from a web page that attempts to open a new IE window.
The problem seems to come from following a web link that requires IE to open into a new window.
Unfortunately I am jet to find any answers to this question.
Pls tell if you find a solution.

Regards Matt

edit:
try this
Start-->Run-->regsvr32 urlmon.dll
Start-->Run-->regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
Start-->Run-->regsvr32 Msjava.dll
Start-->Run-->regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
Start-->Run-->regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
Start-->Run-->regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
Start-->Run-->regsvr32 Browseui.dll
Start-->Run-->regsvr32 Shell32.dll

fixed my problem :-)
