Java Problem Crashing All Browsers
![]() |
I usually just use Opera with java on My Mandriva LE 2005, but thought I'd try to get Firefox to work with Java, so i followed the directions by placing the link to libjavaplugin_oji.so in the Firefox pluggins folder. yeah it works great for a second or 2 & then the browser just closes. It works great in sites that don't have java stuff, but go to simslots.com & open a game & start to play & boom! Gone!! Now all the other browsers are following suit.
Browsers that crash with Java now: Opera, firefox, & Konq.
I have uninstalled firefox that came with Mandriva & replaced with the latest, but same results. Also upgraded Java to the latest & no change. the only thing I haven't done is to just undo the attempt at getting Firefox java & go back to opera. I would prefer Firefox if possible cause downloads work everytime, unlike in opera.
Any ideas?
