Can't access linux files from windows host using vmware

Hey everybody!

I have vmware workstation installed on my Windows XP machine (host) with a Linux redhat 9 guest.
After installing vmware tools i'm able to access my windows files from the linux guest... but I'm unable to do the opposite!!!! :mad:

I just can't read my files in the Linux virtual machine from the Windows host!!!

How do I solve this problem?? Samba is installed but I'm not sure if correctly. Apparently I can't even connect to my own Linux server! I'm totally confused now! After typing (my workgroup is defined as "myLinux"):

> smbclient //localhost/myLinux -U <myusername>

I get this error message:
Domain=[MYLINUX] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 2.2.7a]
tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME

What am I doing wrong??!?!

Help please!!

It's possible that the problem could be your domain is specified as MyLinux. You probably need to change it so your workgroup is MyLinux in your smb.conf file.
