I have three rather silly questions so please bear with me.

What is a browser cache?
What is its purpose?
How does it work?

I hope someone if it is of no inconvinience to help explain to me the three questions i have above in detail

Cache - Memory that holds copies of recently accessed data locally. Several Web browsers keep recently viewed pages in a cache so users can return to them quickly without suffering network delays
