Dear daniweb. Hello people. Am getting a lot of web pop ups. Downloaded and ran HijackThis.
Have posted the log to learn what to do to slow/stop them. Have HijackThis in its own folder, system is updated, have anti-virus, Anti Spyware and backups running. Thank you...

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Here are the 2 logs.
IE displayed 65 open windows, so I needed to re boot
and run L2Mfix 2 times to get it to save a log file.
FYI a ip of 202.67.220.230 showed in the address.
202.67.220.230 /trafc/redir.php? Cmd=avs&aid= ------ I think.
Am I safe mode now. Good thing for Firefox, or I cant post or get on the net...

Please download VundoFix.zip to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.zip and extract it to your C:\ directory.
  • Copy the instructions below and paste them into Notepad for reference.
    • All other windows need to be closed while doing this fix!
  • Navigate to the new folder C:\VundoFix
  • Double click on KillVundo.bat
    • When it starts running it will tell you that you need an active internet connection then ask you to press any key once you do.
  • Please press any key to continue.
  • Wait for HiJackThis to open.
  • When HiJackThis opens, click Do a system scan only. Place a check next to the following items, if found:
    • HJT ITEMS HERE
  • Once they all have a check next to them, click the FIX CHECKED button, then close HiJackThis.
You will once again be prompted to press any key. Upon doing so this time you will receive a "Blue Screen Of Death". Don't worry, this is normal!
Let the computer reboot. If it doesn't boot straight to windows, manually turn the computer off and then back on.

Once the computer is rebooted post a new HiJackThis log as well as the contents of vundofix.txt which can be found in this folder: C:\VundoFix

Dear crunchie;
I deleted the user I was, due to IE displays 65 open windows each time I logged in. The 4 other users on this box are semi working ok.
Spent the day in safe mode , fixed winsock , ran 2 scans.
Read about HijackThis white list and "how to" as the scans ran..lol

Try running this tool from Symantec and post another log please. You may need to run it on each user account.

Dear crunchie , this is a run down of what am doing so far…
Is my HijackThis log better now…

Downloaded and installed, updated.….
SpySubtract\SpySub
Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal
ZoneLabs

Ran windows RegEdit and found each location of ….

javasrv.dll was found and gone with them…
gebca.dll was found and gone after a few safe mode and online scans.
bininfo.dll , dam that was hard.

Ran VundoFix/Trojan.Vundo.B Removal Tool and all the ones like/near the name ,still there.
Ran windows RegEdit and found each bininfo.dll ( use bininfo ) with out the DLL ending.
Ran killbox and RegEdit and still no good.
Sent a copy of bininfo.dll to Kaspersky Anti-Virus.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus found and deleted on reboot using the extended data base.
Ran windows RegEdit and found each bininfo.dll each one found, and deleted from there…
(going to buy Kaspersky next week, when I get paid )
