Many common webpages won't load....

Hi,

I'm a new poster that just stumbled upon this site when trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with my computer. Yesterday afternoon, a whole bunch of really common websites just stopped loading for no apparent reason. The same problem occurs on both Firefox and IE, and I've used a second computer to check that it isn't anything to do with my router or internet connection. I've noticed other posts from people who seem to have the same problem.

I just ran HijackThis to see what came up, and to my untrained eye it looks okay. I was hoping someone who knows what they are doing could look over it. Thanks!

Help with HJT log?

So, about half of the websites I regularly go to stopped working about two days ago. I have the same problem in both IE and Firefox. It is not my internet connection or my router, because when I hook another computer up to the line, the pages load correctly. I've already run several online scans, Ewido, AdAware, Spybot, and deleted my temporary internet files. I've also tried system restore to about a week ago with no success. If anyone can see anything in this HJT log, I'd like to know. Thanks!

Nothing in your log stands out as an obvious suspect. If you haven't already, entirely disable your firewall software; that's first step to take when troubleshooting what appear to be global/cross-browser connection problems.
