im a linux noob.... and i jus installed suse pro 9.3 however, i am not able to play any audio files. ive tried to play mp3's on amarok and xmms. It is not a hardware or volume control prob since the files will not even start. I also noticed that my kaffiene has no audio inputs on mpegs ... any help would be appreciated.

mp3's don't play in SuSe by default...they claim it is a licensing thing...but many distros out there ship mp3 ready and able.

I'd also recommend getting SuSe 10.0 (latest release...10.1 is due out soon) so that you can have the latest and greatest...and it is free You just download from opensuse.org
