I reformatted my computer today, and now I dont have sound. I know I need to download an audio driver, but I can't seem to find one!

Device Description Type
Intel 82801DB(M) ICH4(-M) - AC'97 Audio Controller [A-1] PCI
is my soundcard, I suppose? I've visited the intel site, and cannot seem to have any luck finding a driver.

Motherboard Name Intel Brownsville D845GBV (6 PCI, 1 AGP, 2 DIMM, Audio, Video)

is my motherboard, any body have any ideas?

The Intel Chipsets Support page should give you all the information you need. The site is very large, but if you read what they have to offer, you should be able to work your way to the driver you need. I'd recommend starting off by using their Chipset Identification Utility and going from there.

If this doesn't end up working for you, I will need to know what company made your box and what its product number is.
Did we help you? Did we miss the point entirely? Update your thread and let us know.
