I suggested a contest involving magazine covers but not too many people seemed interested. I think we would get more people to participate if the forum covered computer graphics as well. Ah, c'est la vie.

I'm about to finalize a design from a company that does this for Fortune 500 companies that I found on eLance.com. $350 for a Corporate Identity package which includes the logo, letterhead, business cards, and a website template.
