windows media player problem

when i try to double click on any file for it to play in windows media player all that loads is the player itself can anyone help me please

Are you able to play the file in Media Player?
Do any files autoplay?
Did we help you? Did we miss the point entirely? Update your thread and let us know.
Don't like the answers you are getting?
Did you try searching?

Only way i can get them to play is by right clicking and saying open with windows media player and nope no files autoplay with this problem

and another thing i have problems with is now when i download some setups.exe like wmp10 or others it says Command line option sytax error. TYpe Command /? for Help. so if anyone can solve my two problems i'd be greatly happy
