windows 2000 IE 6. need help to remove spyware

dear all ,
i am using windows 2000 with IE 6 .
Due to an oversight of my colleague i have been infected with some kind of spyware whcih keeps opening pop up windows and Urls such as
www.searc-h.com/normal/yyy34.html along with it opens
www220.paypopup.com/links.php?data (etc)
i have Microsoft anti spyware and spybouncer 2.2 but no effect .
pls advise and help me to solve this problem .
would appreciate all the help

Download Webroot Spysweeper Trial and install it.
Next, download CWShredder. Do not run both of these now.
Reboot in Safe Mode:-
Restart (or switch ON) the PC.
Then, keep tapping the F8 Key.
From the menu that will be displayed, out of which choose Safe Mode and press Enter.
Run WebRoot SpySweeper, Click "Options" button and click "Sweep Options" tab, and here select all the Hard Disk Partitions. In the "Where to sweep" option box, select "Sweep all folders on the selected drives". In the "What to sweep" option box, make sure all the items are selected. Then click "Sweep Now" button and click "Start" and remove anything it may find.
Next, run CWShredder and click "Fix->" button.
Reboot the PC to Normal Mode. Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe
Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread along with a fresh HijackThis log.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Download Webroot Spysweeper Trial and install it.
Next, download CWShredder. Do not run both of these now.
Reboot in Safe Mode:-
Restart (or switch ON) the PC.
Then, keep tapping the F8 Key.
From the menu that will be displayed, out of which choose Safe Mode and press Enter.
Run WebRoot SpySweeper, Click "Options" button and click "Sweep Options" tab, and here select all the Hard Disk Partitions. In the "Where to sweep" option box, select "Sweep all folders on the selected drives". In the "What to sweep" option box, make sure all the items are selected. Then click "Sweep Now" button and click "Start" and remove anything it may find.
Next, run CWShredder and click "Fix->" button.
Reboot the PC to Normal Mode. Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread along with a fresh HijackThis log.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

But, if you have not already deleted, there are some files to be deleted. Delete this folder:-
C:\Program Files\Bouncer
and this file:-
C:\backup.zip
Download CleanUp and install it.
Run CleanUp! and click "Options.." button. Here move the "Quick Setup" slider to "Thorough Cleanup" position. Uncheck the option "Delete Favorites Palces/Bookmarks", if you have any bookmarks. Click "OK" to return to main window, and click "CleanUp!" to start cleaning. After it completes, click "Close" and click "No" to avoid logging off.
Next, in the Control Panel (Start > Settings > Control Panel), double-click on the "Java Plug-in" icon. Here click the "Cache" tab and click on the "Clear" button and click "OK" to confirm it.
These steps would take care of those remaining "bad" things!
