First of all, I'm moving this to the website promotion showoff forum.
Second, I'm a bit confused what the site is about - and this can confuse prospective members and visitors. For a page title, it says PC-Tech. But then the logo in the header says SCO whatever that means. Then the slogan says "All about great peoples and games" but I don't see any game related forums at all - it all seems hardware related.

Wavenom went down, someone decided it would be funny to mess everything up. Because of that, wavenom is now closed, the new forum is now at http://cawunited.com/PC-Tech/

Because wavenom went down so fast, I lost everything, including members, so I really need help in getting the site going.

so far the only aspect of your site i like is the banner - only just, at that. i like the hard-edged tech look of it, but the negative (white) spaces make me wonder for a moment if a logo, graphic, etc. has failed to parse properly - which can be said for the rest of the negative space on the site as well. plus, and to me this is major, you're advising ppl that they have to reg to post, but then you dont provide a CONVENIENT link to register - if i have to go on an easter egg hunt to find a reg link i am, and was, gone in ten seconds, not sixty.

Um, you click register, I though it was a no brainer, but I will put a register link up on the site navigation bar.

First of all, when I go to your portal, there is no register link in the navigation bar Second of all, your links to get to register and go to the forum index don't present themselves as links - they're not underlined, in a different color, etc.

The Register link is in a notice on the home page, Dani. It's on the navigation bar for the Forum Index.

And it is a different colour! Problem is, the colour scheme used might make it hard to distinguish.

I like the appearance of your site, by the way Phantom. But the question I'd have to ask is Why??

With Tech Forums all over the Web, unless you have an existing Community of some sort to service, which would actually make use of the forum then why start another that's no different to all the others which are already established? As an educational exercise what you've done is fine, but if you wish it to become something permanent, you need to take another step forward by offering something unique, new or specialised.

Otherwise it will simply remain a small-scale, fun activity conducted by a small group of friends.

now, if we can try this again, i'd recommend that you alter the text "register" in some manner to distinguish it as a link. not every person browsing to the site will be "fresh;" most will have tried to t/s the issue(s) theyre encountering themselves and theyre looking for help to get them out of a trying, and often tiring, situation.
