Drive 'E' will not play CDs

:-| My nephew has Windows 98SE and has recently installed a 2nd Drive 'E'. It is working fine for copying data to etc but it will not play CDs. Can anyone help as I don't know enough about it to advise him.

Did he attach an audio cable from the CD drive to the audio card? See this guide for detailed pictures.

Hello there,
I managed to access the link. I've looked further into the problem and he is able to play CDs. It is the DVDs which seem to be giving a problem, just playing in patches. Any ideas?
