Position Overview
Responsible for managing the entire system lifecycle for assigned applications and projects, from requirements gathering through deployment and maintenance.

Tasks include:
- Designing appropriate application architecture and components to fulfill business requirements
- Developing application components using standard tools and environments
- Deploying and maintaining finished applications

Required skills

- Expert analysis and design ability
- Expert understanding of Java (JSP, Servlets, Struts, ANT, JDBC) and HTML (XHTML, CSS, P3P)
- Strong experience developing robust, scaleable n-tier web applications
- Strong database skills, particularly MySQL
- Strong project management (ability to manage own project schedules and deliverables)
- Experience with full application lifecycle
- Good written, verbal communication
- Self-starters, with the ability to work unsupervised

Background

- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science
- At least 5 years professional experience developing Windows or web-based applications
- At least 3 years professional experience developing Java
