Here again, I don't see the attack,which leads me to the conclusion your mixing up (TOS) with something else? TOS means Trusted Operating Systems. So what was so wrong with that statement? I'll follow this "correcting of SPIN" up in a day or so with what secure operating systems involve, however in the meantime here I've attached class notes from a TOS design class.

Lastly, back to the original point... it is not a matter of what is better X or Y, it is a matter of having impartial, factual data made availible so that people can choose what meets their needs. Without good information, it's all just shots in the dark, doesn't matter if you are comparing NT v Linux, HP-VV v MVS, or STOP v KSOS, hell even Ford v Honda... anything objectivity is paramount.

In your sentence, "retarded" is modifying your verb "say," thus the person who is saying it. You're saying the person who is saying it is retarded. I think you're reaching out too far by saying the meaning for retarded is slow. Of course it's slow. But in this case, people don't interpret it as that, and I think you should know that. People often use the word "gay" not for happy, but for homosexuality. The same applies here. When people say "retard" it usually means a lack of intelligence.

The rest of your statements along with my replies is just a message to control yourself. I'm not just basing your behavior on this particular post, but on previous others as well. And not just on this account, but on your old "B.Affleck" account as well. I don't care if you're over passionate about your ideas and get out of hand sometimes, but just control yourself. I've received numerous complaints from other members about your posts, which is the only reason why decided to reply.

Ok first of all the big"B" account was used by alot of people at my old work, the account would stay logged on for 8-12 hours at a any given time.The original goal of the Big'B' account was to trump the amount of post of all moderators. In the end it just lost control.
Yeah I'm not denying, and I'm sure there was alot of debates. None of the users ever directly sent private messages saying, hey stop I'm going to tell. Hell alot of people at work registered here,put in some post, but then left due to what ever reasons. This is not the only site we attempted this on, but this was the smallest site, with the bigger sites, the mods were 20-30 times more layed back. I guess alot of that layed back policy feel was brought over here and actually, I would like to make a public apology. If you feel there was no benefit,no help given, no facts posted, no resources given, & since obivously no good was achieved you can personally delete all of the account post.

Passion your right, I do love to share the knowledege that I have learned like, I have ton's of PDF's from class's and other events such as seminars ect... I rather see people learn than to read misinformation thas is all over the BB's everywhere. Like ALC" AkA cookie monster wanted to know some links so I posted. I never stop sharing information about computers and correcting bad information about them aswell. I like to help people with whatever OS they choose take a gander in this forum for example.

Just because you do not understand something, does not mean that "we" do not understand it. Just as it is not ok for me to assume that you don't understand something just because I don't, when you start defining reality based on your level of knowledge, the universe gets very small very fast.

The thing I love, is that I'll be branded as an MS lover for this post, which is amusing how people tend to find anything less than: "Micro$haft and bill Gates are the antichrist." as loving Microsoft, and god forbid anyone here or any board actually bring facts and objectivity into the conversation.

But I will leave some more educative facts about linux in paticular, as far as security is concerned NT is superior. Don't believe me? Lets see what the good people at RedHat have to say.

I don't think your posts are useless. They are very informative indeed. What I can't stand however is when you go off attacking a person's beliefs just because they don't agree with you. This used to be worse with your "big b" account, but it seems you've toned down somewhat. All I can tell you is just to watch what you say. You seem like a smart person, but lacking a little bit in etiquette, which is the reason why I received complaints.

You can criticize any technology you want, but to avoid flames, don't criticize people.
