Hey folks,
I have setup many computers in the office to use remote desktop. One specific computer, just got recently, i have not been able to get working for remote desktop.
This computer is a panel PC (looks like a thicker flat screen tv). It is running Win XP pro. We are running a domain with Windows Small business Server and the dhcp is assigned by the server. We are also using a D-Link wireless router. This panel PC is also set up to do Automatic Login when the computer is turned on. It is connected to the network through a wireless card.
Steps I took:
1. Set an IP reservation for this PC on the server.
2. Set the router to forward to this IP on port 3397.
3. In System/Remote set the computer to allow remote connections.
4. Entered myself as a remote user.
5. Edited the registry of the panel pc to listen on port 3397.
6. Restarted the panel PC.
7. Tested the internet connection, it was working.
After all this I still ge the unable to connect error message. Anyone know if automatic windows logon effects the remote desktop? Could this be the issue?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks
Jim
