So you could first scan with the online virus scanner (panda preferably) and then install nav 2006 afterwards.

You could try burning those files to a CD. Small size (20-40 gig) hard drives are pretty cheap, maybe you could buy one, and install your windows on there, then slave your old hard drive to it, copy your data to the new drive, and wipe the old hard drive, to use as storage and backup. I guess it depends on how much those files mean to you.
If you are using XP, try and download Ewido and scan your computer with it.

Be sure you update it before using it, and when it finds a problem, be sure to select the check box to do the same action (clean) when it finds a problem, otherwise, you will have to click continue, to keep scanning with every problem it finds.
