When I look at the specs. of the celeron d 325 and the amd xp 2200 the celeron seems better, yet I can buy the celeron for $ 57.00 new the amd costs $30.00 more.
Is there more to it than the specs?

What specs are you comparing? These chips are extremely different and run on different motherboards with different FSB settings and most likely with completely different RAM modules. Because of the differences in these two chips, there is really no way to say one is better than the other. What are you wanting the system that this chip would be for to do?

You are right. It seems a toss up.For light gaming and general use do you have an opinion?
