I need to upgrade my system if possible to run Sims 2, which requires as a minimum to run on xp, with a 800 Mhtz Processor, 256ram, 32mb tgl Video card.(Whats this?)
My system is on XP, with AMD Duron Processor 600Mhtz, 320 ram. Cannot find any refernce to a video card but a S3 Graphics card is listed. Is it possible to safely have fitted a faster processor and what else?
The PC is four years old and I do not really want to buy new but seem to be left with little choice. Any advice appreciated. Thanks. Tez.

We would need to know the exact make and model of your motherboard to definitively answer your question. Also- S3 makes a wide variety of graphics chips, so specifics on that would be needed as well.
If you don't know the above information, there's a great freeware program called Everest which will tell you more than you ever wanted to know about your system.

Please do not contact me by email or PM for help. We're all volunteers here, and only have so much free time to dedicate to our efforts.
However, if I've been working on a thread with you already, and seem to have "forgotten" your thread, please do send me a message. I try not to let things slip through the cracks, but it does happen sometimes.
