About the client
The client is a global technology services player with development centers in the US, India, and Australia. With over 2,000 technical employees and a large number of clients among Fortune 1000 companies, the company provides applications development and support services in eCommerce, Data Warehousing, Legacy Systems, QA, CRM, RIMS (Remote Infrastructure Management Service) and ERP.
Role Description
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical applications/IT solutions background coupled with current, well-rounded and successful business development/consulting experience. He/she will leverage their successful sales experience to identify new clientele and also extend and expand business within the existing clients. The successful candidate will have experience with off-shore models and have experience working with and managing off-shore development teams. Finally, the successful candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, exciting work/company environment.
To be considered for this role, you must have experience in major client acquisitions. In addition, you must have a proven track record (5+ years) of successfully developing relationships and selling pure consulting solutions
Requires 8-15 years of demonstrated success in sales roles and 3-5 years of demonstrated success in a relationship development role.
Can develop, articulate and advocate explicit business outcomes for the client
Successful consulting and business development background (account management, delivery and solutions sales) Successfully acquired large accounts ($3mn+)
Experience selling offshore consulting services is required
Develop client strategy plans and design and present executive level presentations.
Proven relationship-building skills, especially at CXO level
Develop strong client relationships and navigate complex political environments.
Uncover, manage and resolve obstacles that get in the way of closing business.
Create effective pricing strategies and possesses strong skill in negotiating and communicating contract terms and conditions.
Has demonstrated track record of long-term business relationships that have resulted in recurring revenue.
Has deep Information Systems industry knowledge that will provide contacts and lend both credibility and confidence.
Strong technical and management background in application development or enterprise systems
Has a track record of success in qualifying opportunities and bringing multi-million dollar deals to close.
