XP Home and printer sharing
![]() |
I have a small network set up in my home. I have three computers with XP Pro and they are all problem free. My two laptops which are connected through a Linksys wireless router are the problem. One laptop is XP Home, the other XP Media Edition. I am unable to access my workgroup from either laptop and printer sharing seems impossible. Any suggestions?
Hi, and
Welcome to Daniweb
Assuming that having to different OS's still allow you to have a network
. There are a few things you should check. One and the biggest. Firewalls. They will block the connection of the network. If you have a firewall disable it, then check to see if you are able to acess the network. Also in order for printer sharing you must of the drivers to the printer on both computers.
