Hi all

I am sure that my computer as become laced with bugs, I have just run Spybot and I have Norton but here is the output from HiJackThis

Please download the trial version of Ewido anti-malware here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.
Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site:

Once in Safe Mode, please run Ewido, and do a full scan. During the scan it will prompt you to clean files, click OK.

Save the logfile from the scan. Restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis log, as well as the log from the Ewido scan.

That depends on the location of the files. Explore.exe is likely a baddy as the legit filename is Explorer.exe
iexplore.exe should be running from C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer and svchost.exe from the system32 folder.

Let's look for, and delete, any program segments (prefetches) that might be present, and are associated with the 'problems' we're trying to remove from your PC. To do this, let's:

1) Click "Start | Search", then search for each of these program's base name(s), in all files and folders:

msgconfigrs.exe*

2) Then if any are found in the 'prefetch' folder, delete them.

Look closely, since the 'base' name will have a bunch of random numbers and letters attached to it.

Next, Open a command prompt by:

1. Clicking "Start", then "Run...".
2. Enter "cmd" (without the quotes).
3. Enter "services.msc" (without the quotes).

Now, locate and 'stop' the following services, if present:

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so! This Fix must NOT be run in safe mode for it to work.

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter. It will process then start. Your desktop and icons will disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, it will be ready for a reboot. Press any key to reboot. After the reboot notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so! Do Not run in safe mode!!
If after the reboot the log does not open double click on it in the l2mfix folder.

Hi

Here is the log files, I do not appear to getting any thing trying to access the internet.

But now I have continuos messages from norton saying "A remote system is attempting to access your computer" I block always but then a few seconds later I get another. What is this, can I just tell norton not to allow other computer to attach?

How did you know that there was a Look2me virus?
