Help deleted .cda audio codec HELP!!!

  #1
Feb 8th, 2006
I have tried looking everywhere to figure out how to reinstall the .cda audio codec and cannot find it anywhere. Because it's gone Windows Media Player doesn't even include it in the list of playable/updateable file formats.

Does ANYONE know where I may obtain this file/codec/driver? and reinstall it on my system? A tech support person helped me solve an USB mic problem at one time by telling me to delete all codecs and that they would automatically be reinstalled when restarting the computer. This didn't happen and I've not been able to play audio cd's for a long time now.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
