Well everytime I have seen that blinking curser it means the OS has been messed up pretty bad and had to put a new one on....Or use the disk to try and fix the boot sector witch can be kinda tricky...But like I said everytime I have seen that I lost everything..maybe someone else can help out some any Idea's anyone ?
