PERL / LAMP PROGRAMMER

COMPANY OVERVIEW:
We are a small internet applications development firm, which develops concept-to-completion solutions for mid- to large-sized companies. We’ve been serving loyal clients for over 10 years.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Programmer will develop corporate internet applications which adhere to specified standards. Must be able to follow detailed guidelines set forth in a Design Document in development of modules such as:
--Database search-&-display
--Shopping carts/wish lists
--Dynamically created PDF's
--EDI data transfer
--Database design

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain and enhance existing client Perl/MySQL and MSSQL applications.
• Develop and document new features, modules and databases for web applications.
• Participate in design and specifications
• Set up and maintain new and existing in-house servers

KEY DELIVERABLES:
• Efficiently coded and robust PHP / PERL / MySQL modules in a Linux environment as specified in design document
• Maintain existing complex NT/Win2000 and MSSQL/ASP applications
• Javascript modules

REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will be a passionate, organized individual with at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science and 2 years of experience programming complex web applications using LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) technologies. Good communication and interpersonal skills necessary., Must be results-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects/priorities under time pressure.Able to quickly learn new applications and technologies. A sense of humor is a plus!

Lancaster/Palmdale, California
Antelope Valley, Northern Los Angeles County
