How to select the default for Word?

Hi All,
I am a newbie to this list.
My Inaugural question is: How to select the default for Word?

I downloaded ICWord at one point and had trouble paying for it and now it is activated as the default WORD format program.

I HAVE M'soft Office installed but cant find a way to make MOffice the default again.

Any clues folks?

Cheers from the cloudy and rainy usually sunny Gold Coast, Qld

Normally when you open files you can select which program to open them with. For example I can choose whether to open my mp3 files with either winamp or windows media player.

The thing to do is right click on your icon

>Open with >choose program>select word

and check the always use this program to open file box.

God bless.
