wireless router troubles

hi, i have a linksys WMP54GS 2.4 Ghz wireless card and had no problems connecting to my netgear router. my brother gets a new netgear router mr814v2 and now my card "cannot associate with the access point" but it finds it just fine and has no problem connecting to my neighbors router which is how im posting this, but i CANT connect to my own. i tried resetting all settings to default and tried to set my wireless access by using my mac address and still cant connect.
help please!
