Hi Guys, I have a sony Vaio and i am having serious problems with its performance. What happens?

If i open Internet explorer, it will not search for the address if typed in the address bar. (so i have to get it through google.).

Also if i open My Computer folder, it takes maybe 2 or 4 minutes to open this precise folder.

This along with the fact that programmes crash quite a bit if pushed too hard.

I have scanned with housecall, spybot, norton 2006 and all have picked stuff up but really not improved the perforamance. I have also cleaned up the system startup with no avail.

Can anybody help. its xp windows.

Casso.
